Aviant, a Norwegian drone delivery startup, launches the world's longest-range drone delivery service in Lillehammer, Norway, targeting suburbs and remote areas.
The service, named Kyte, can deliver groceries, medicines, and meals from restaurants directly to doorsteps, covering a radius of 17km and designed to operate in extreme weather conditions.
Aviant's drones are fully electric, emitting 95% less CO2 than an EV and 99% less than a diesel car, highlighting the environmental benefits of drone delivery.
The company has regulatory approval to operate in EU airspace and plans to expand across Europe, competing with other drone delivery services like Manna and Wing.
