  • The three-year extension carries a total value of $22.5 million and a $7.5 million cap hit per season.
  • Colorado acquired Nelson and prospect William Dufour from the Islanders in exchange for defenseman Oliver Kylington, prospect Calum Ritchie and two draft picks at the trade deadline.
