• Head coach Jared Bednar said Mackenzie Blackwood is week-to-week with an offseason injury and will miss camp, with expectations he could be ready around the start of the season.
• Sam Girard is dealing with lower-body issues and will miss camp time, though he remains a candidate for opening night as Sam Malinski starts on the left and Keaton Middleton could draw in if needed.
• Logan O’Connor, coming off summer hip surgery, is skating and projected for an early November return after missing the preseason.
• With Blackwood sidelined, Scott Wedgewood is the lone signed NHL goaltender in camp and has Bednar’s backing to handle an expanded role early.
