Avalanche Confirms Sept. 21 Split-Squad Preseason Doubleheader in Denver

Magness Arena will host the Avalanche for the first time since 2017 in a showcase marking the Mammoth’s debut under their new name.

  • The Avalanche will host a split-squad preseason doubleheader against the Utah Mammoth on Sept. 21 at Magness Arena (2:30 p.m.) and Ball Arena (6:30 p.m.).
  • Presale tickets for both matchups go on sale Aug. 13 through the team’s official channels.
  • NHL rules require each lineup to include at least eight players meeting minimum experience thresholds, so rosters will be finalized on game day.
  • The 2:30 p.m. contest marks Colorado’s first event at Magness Arena on the University of Denver campus since a 2017 intrasquad scrimmage.
