Overview
- Mexico’s weather service projects very heavy to locally intense rainfall, electrical storms, strong gusts and high coastal waves from Sept. 22–24 across Pacific and southern states including Jalisco, Colima, Michoacán, Guerrero, Oaxaca, Veracruz, Chiapas, Nayarit and Campeche.
- Argentina’s SMN issued an orange alert for severe storms in northern Misiones and yellow alerts for storms in southern Misiones and parts of Formosa, with separate yellow wind alerts for coastal Buenos Aires, La Pampa, Santa Cruz and Tierra del Fuego.
- AEMET reports temperatures 5–10 °C below normal across much of northern Spain to midweek, with the first flakes of the season already recorded in Picos de Europa and a rainy, blustery setup across the Cantabrian coast.
- Euskalmet placed Bizkaia under a yellow advisory for intense afternoon and evening showers with possible thunderstorms, as maximum temperatures hold below 20 °C and onshore winds strengthen.
- Contrasting Spain’s north, Córdoba expects a ‘veroño’ start to the week with highs near or above 30 °C and little rain, while localized city forecasts note late‑day storms in Guadalajara and cool mornings with milder afternoons in Rosario, Santa Fe and Córdoba (Argentina).
