Overview

• Geraldina Peguero-Mancebo, 31, and her 1-year-old son, Jeyden Junior Peguero, were found dead in Ontelaunee Township on Sept. 19 and 20, and both deaths were ruled homicides after autopsies.
• The woman’s body was located in a grassy area off East Huller Lane, and the toddler was found partially submerged about 150 yards away in a marshy area.
• The pair had been reported missing to Reading police after last being heard from on Sept. 12 and were listed as endangered in the National Crime Database.
• A related earlier case involves 31-year-old Junior Cabrera-Colon, who lived with the victims and was found on Sept. 13 near Baer Park with a fatal gunshot wound to the head.
• Jose Luis Rodriguez, 61, confessed to Cabrera-Colon’s killing and was charged with murder and related offenses, while investigators continue the broader inquiry and ask the public for tips.
