Autonomists Lead in Valle d’Aosta Count as Marche Projections Favor Acquaroli

Coalition bargaining will decide control in Aosta under rules that grant a majority only above 42%.

Overview

  • In Valle d’Aosta, with about 17,000 ballots counted, Union Valdôtaine, the PD and Autonomisti di Centro total roughly 49.2%, short of the 42% majority-bonus threshold.
  • The united centre-right is around 33.3% in early tallies, with Forza Italia–La Renaissance at 12.7%, Fratelli d’Italia 11.7% and the Lega 8.8%.
  • Turnout for the regional vote was 62.98% as counting began at 8:00, leaving council control contingent on post-election alliances.
  • Aosta and 64 other communes also voted for local offices; the municipal count starts Tuesday, with Raffaele Rocco facing Giovanni Girardini in the capital.
  • In the Marche, exit polls and early projections show incumbent Francesco Acquaroli ahead of Matteo Ricci (SWG 52% to 45%), with participation around 50%, lower than in 2020.
