Overview

• On July 29, Harris County authorities unveiled dozens of videos showing Carl Redfield Jr. sexually assaulting multiple women at various county locations.
• Sheriff Ed Gonzalez warned that these incidents may be just the tip of the iceberg and urged additional survivors to come forward.
• Court filings describe a January attack where Redfield allegedly drugged and raped a neighbor and a June incident in which he held a gun to a woman’s head and recorded the assault.
• Redfield, 47, was taken into custody on July 24 at the Cypress-area car dealership where he was employed and now faces four counts of sexual assault and one count of aggravated assault of a family member.
• He is held in Harris County Jail on a $2.5 million bond after previously serving as an Indiana corrections officer and being convicted of prison narcotics trafficking.
