  • Four people were killed when a gunman opened fire at The Owl Bar in Anaconda around 10:30 a.m. on August 1, according to the Montana Division of Criminal Investigation.
  • The suspect, identified as 45-year-old Michael Paul Brown, is believed to be armed and dangerous and remains at large.
  • Brown was last seen fleeing west on Stumptown Road in a white 2007 Ford F-150 bearing Montana license plate DTY493.
  • Local, state and federal agencies—including SWAT teams, the FBI and ATF—have cleared the suspect’s residence and established roadblocks and surveillance operations in remote areas.
  • Officials have not disclosed a motive or reported additional victims as the investigation into the shooting continues.
