Hotel staff found her critically injured near the pool, and she was rushed to the hospital where she underwent multiple surgeries but succumbed to her injuries two days later.
Her sister Kiani and mother Diane flew to Bali to be with her during her final moments, describing her as a vibrant and joyful person who inspired happiness in others.
Mills, who had a successful international DJ career, considered Bali her second home, having lived there for several years before returning to Melbourne.
Her family plans to hold music-focused memorial services in both Bali and Melbourne, with part of her ashes to be scattered on the island she loved.
