Australian Backpacker Missing in London After Sending Cryptic Texts

Jessica Parkinson, 29, has not been seen for over a week, prompting an urgent police search as family and friends express deep concern.

Jessica Parkinson, an Australian waitress and backpacker, was last seen on December 11 in Bermondsey, London, where she worked at Texas Joe's Slow Smoked Meats.
She failed to show up for her shifts and sent a cryptic text to a colleague, promising to arrive but never appearing.
Parkinson had recently been evicted from a flat share and was staying at St Christopher’s Inn hostel on Borough High Street.
Her family in Australia, including her father and two sisters, have not heard from her, and police have confirmed she has not used her passport since her disappearance.
The Metropolitan Police are investigating and asking for public assistance, urging anyone with information to come forward.
