Australian Airlines and Retailers Overhaul Loyalty Programs from June 30

Overview

  • Just Shop Rewards will close on June 30 and merge into Myer One on August 1, with points earning ending at month-end and benefits valid until July 26.
  • Supercheap Auto will retire its Best Price Credit on June 30 and introduce a Spend & Get feature on July 1 offering a $5 credit for every $100 spent.
  • Target’s Shop+ App Rewards program will end on July 21, with customers able to redeem remaining rewards until 11:59 p.m. that day.
  • From August 5, Qantas Frequent Flyer will require 15–20 percent more points for classic reward fares across its network.
  • Virgin Australia Velocity will launch a Platinum Plus status tier on October 1, featuring four complimentary business class upgrades.
