Travis County records tie the expanded case to a police-documented spree of assaults plus vehicle thefts after the Aug. 11 killings.

  • Police previously identified the victims as Target employee Rosa Martinez Machuca, 24, Adam Chow, 66, and Chow’s 4-year-old granddaughter.
  • Austin police said officers found three people shot in the parking lot of the Target at 8601 Research Blvd shortly after 2 p.m. on Aug. 11, with 40 fired cartridge cases recovered.

  • APD reported subsequent crashes, the assault and theft of a Volkswagen, an attempted Waymo break-in, a broken window at an acquaintance’s home, and a taser-assisted arrest at 3:06 p.m. after he was seen leaving a porta-potty where matching clothing was found.
