Overview

• On July 27 around 8:35 p.m., a vehicle on North Lamar Boulevard struck pedestrian Ismal Mossaad, 49, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
• A 16-year-old male juvenile driver has been charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in connection with the crash.
• Two other suspects, 33-year-old Markell D. Turner and 34-year-old Jarina D. Robinson, face driving while intoxicated and narcotics possession charges respectively.
• The collision is recorded as Austin’s 55th fatal crash of 2025, bringing the city’s total traffic deaths to 59 by late July.
