Austin Police Appeal for Tips in Two October Hit-and-Run Cases, Including Parmer Lane Fatality

Investigators urge witnesses to contact designated tip lines.

  • APD released a description of the suspect vehicle in the Oct. 21 fatal hit-and-run: a light SUV or crossover with possible lower front-left damage, last seen eastbound in the 800 block of Parmer Lane.
  • Police say three vehicles were involved; one driver died in the roadway, a second remained and cooperated, and a third is believed to have hit the victim and fled.

  • In a separate Oct. 14 collision near West 30th Street and East Drive, a White male bicyclist suffered non-life-threatening injuries and has been released after a driver left the scene.
  • Detectives are seeking two unidentified witnesses to the Oct. 14 crash, with tips invited to the Highway Investigation Tip Line at 512-974-8111 and a reward of up to $1,000 possible for information leading to an arrest.
