Overview

• Three people were killed in an unprovoked afternoon attack at a North Austin Target, including a 4-year-old girl and a store employee later identified as Hector Leopoldo Martinez Machuca alongside Adam Chow and his granddaughter.
• Officers apprehended 32-year-old Ethan Nieneker after he allegedly stole multiple vehicles, caused several crashes and was found naked holding a Bible before being subdued with a Taser.
• Court and police records show Nieneker has faced repeated arrests since 2012 for domestic violence, assault, driving under the influence and has been placed on emergency psychiatric holds.
