Austin FC Signs Brandon Vazquez for Club-Record $10 Million Fee

The U.S. striker joins Austin FC as a designated player on a four-year contract after a standout season in Liga MX.

Austin FC acquired Brandon Vazquez from CF Monterrey for a reported $10 million, the club's highest-ever transfer fee.
Vazquez, 26, signed a four-year contract with an option for 2029 and will serve as one of the team's three designated players.
The striker scored 14 goals in Liga MX during his sole season with Monterrey and has a strong MLS track record with 35 goals and 19 assists in 144 matches.
Internationally, Vazquez has netted four goals in 11 appearances for the U.S. Men's National Team, including three in the 2023 Concacaf Gold Cup.
Austin FC hopes Vazquez will address its long-standing struggles at the striker position, which has lacked consistent high scorers since the club's inception.
