Overview

  • No arrests have been announced more than a week after last Thursday’s fire killed four residents.
  • A vigil and balloon release are planned for 6 p.m. Monday at the site to honor the victims and press for accountability.
  • The four victims were identified as Destiny Brown Henry, 28; Gina Brown Henry, 32; their cousin Jayceon, 5; and 76-year-old newspaper editor Brad Cummings.
  • At least three others, including a 4-year-old boy, were hospitalized and 27 families were displaced when the mixed-use building was gutted.
  • Officials say Molotov cocktails thrown during a domestic dispute sparked the blaze, and neighbors reported hearing gunshots beforehand.
