Overview
- Aurum’s board approved a binding agreement on Thursday, July 16, 2026, to acquire 100% of Locon Solutions, the owner of Housing.com, by issuing 1,97,93,309 new Aurum shares to REA at ₹231.42 each.
- The share-swap values Housing.com’s parent at about ₹458.1 crore and will make REA India a 24.9% shareholder in Aurum once the deal completes.
- Aurum will also issue 51 lakh convertible warrants to its promoter Aurum RealEstate Developers at the same price, with conversion allowed within 18 months and potential proceeds of roughly ₹118 crore.
- The deal is structured to conserve cash but will dilute existing equity and remains subject to shareholder and regulatory approvals with a target close before September 30, 2026.
- Aurum says combining Housing’s marketplace (about 5.8 crore monthly visits and 1.2 crore monthly active users) with its transaction and rental tech aims to create a ‘data flywheel’, though Housing’s FY26 standalone turnover fell to around ₹309.8 crore from ₹687.5 crore the prior year.
