Auraiya Woman, Lover, and Contract Killer Arrested for Murder of Husband

Pragati Yadav, her lover Anurag Yadav, and hired killer Ramji Chaudhary are in custody for the premeditated murder of Dilip Yadav, as police continue investigating potential accomplices.

Pragati Yadav and Anurag Yadav conspired to murder Dilip Yadav, just 15 days after Pragati was allegedly forced into the marriage.
The duo hired Ramji Chaudhary for ₹2 lakh to carry out the murder, using wedding gift money to pay part of the fee.
Dilip Yadav was lured to a field on March 19, assaulted, and fatally shot; he succumbed to his injuries on March 21 after being transferred between multiple hospitals.
Police utilized the Trinetra surveillance system and CCTV footage to identify and arrest Pragati, Anurag, and Ramji; weapons and cash were also seized during the investigation.
Authorities are pursuing leads on additional suspects, while Pragati's family denies claims of coercion in her marriage and condemns her actions.
