AUPE Nursing Care Staff Approve 98% Strike Mandate as Mediation Resumes

The unofficial vote covering roughly 16,000 nursing care workers awaits labour board certification before strike notice could come as early as Nov. 17.

Sandra Azocar, president of the Alberta Union of Provincial Employees, announced 98 per cent of nursing staff represented by her union have voted in favour of strike action.
