Audi Unveils Third-Generation Q3 With Hybrid Power and Digital Cockpit

Launching in Europe this September, the Q3 offers micro-LED headlights, a plug-in hybrid drivetrain, a fully digital cockpit running Android Automotive OS, plus adaptive safety technology.

Overview

  • The exterior sports digital Matrix LED headlights with 25,600 micro-LEDs per module and optional OLED tail-lights alongside aerodynamic tweaks that lower the drag coefficient to 0.30.
  • Audi’s updated MQB Evo platform underpins powertrains ranging from a 1.5-litre mild-hybrid with cylinder deactivation to a 2.0-litre turbo unit, diesel options and a plug-in hybrid making 200 kW (272 bhp).
  • The plug-in hybrid Q3 e-hybrid features a 25.7 kWh battery for up to 119 km of electric driving and supports 50 kW DC fast charging to 80 percent in under 30 minutes.
  • Inside, the “digital stage” cockpit integrates an 11.9-inch digital instrument cluster, a 12.8-inch touchscreen running Android Automotive OS and an AI-powered assistant.
  • Driver aids such as adaptive cruise assist with lane-change support, emergency assist and automated parking arrive with the Q3 ahead of its European launch in September 2025.
