Overview
- The campaign now spans two actions, 93QQ and 93AD, covering A8, Q7, Q8 as well as A6, A7 and Q5 plug-in hybrids built from 22 August 2019 to 31 July 2024.
- In total, about 72,000 vehicles are affected worldwide, including roughly 22,000 in Germany, with 18,652 under 93QQ and around 53,500 under 93AD.
- KBA warns that battery cells can overheat during charging, creating a fire hazard, and it lists recall 93QQ under reference 15663R.
- Audi’s planned remedy is a high-voltage battery software update to improve temperature monitoring and apply a charging limitation.
- Until repairs are performed, owners are advised not to charge or to park outdoors and watch for unusual heat or odors, and Audi reports no known damage cases so far.
