Auchan Cyberattack Exposes Over 500,000 Customer Records

A cyberattack targeted Auchan, compromising personal data of more than 500,000 customers associated with loyalty accounts.
The stolen data includes names, email addresses, postal addresses, phone numbers, family compositions, birthdates, loyalty card numbers, and loyalty points balances.
Auchan confirmed that banking details, passwords, and PINs were not accessed during the breach.
The company has notified the Commission Nationale de l'Informatique et des Libertés (CNIL) and affected customers, urging caution against potential phishing attempts.
In response, Auchan has enhanced security measures and reinforced vigilance to prevent further unauthorized access.
