ATU Restores Metropolitano Beach Feeder to Agua Dulce From Jan. 1

The seasonal route lets riders reach Agua Dulce on a single integrated fare through a two-hour transfer window.

Overview

  • The special service begins on Jan. 1–2 and will then run on Saturdays and Sundays throughout the summer, the ATU confirmed.
  • Buses depart from embarkation No. 16 at the Matellini terminal and travel via Avenida Huaylas directly to Agua Dulce, operating 10:00 a.m.–6:30 p.m. outbound and 10:30 a.m.–7:00 p.m. for returns.
  • The integrated fare is S/3.50 (adult) and S/1.75 (half fare) using the Metropolitano card or Lima Pass, requiring each rider to use their own card and to complete transfers within two hours.
  • ATU will set up exclusive stops for authorized taxis and oversee traffic at Agua Dulce and nearby Pescadores to reduce congestion and discourage informal services.
  • For New Year operations, Metropolitano regular services A, B and C will run 5:00 a.m.–10:00 p.m. on Jan. 1 with feeders to about 11:00 p.m., and Metro Line 1 will operate roughly 5:30 a.m.–10:00 p.m.
