ATU Reopens Four Lanes on Nicolás Ayllón as Line 2 Works Advance

ATU says the move improves connectivity for La Victoria, El Agustino and San Luis.

Overview

  • Two lanes in each direction reopened between Av. 28 de Julio and Calle Tristán starting Monday, October 13, restoring public and private vehicle circulation on the corridor.
  • The traffic operation was carried out with support from the National Police of Peru under a coordination agreement for diversion and control plans tied to Line 2 construction.
  • This reopening follows an intervention about two weeks ago that restored five lanes previously closed near the Circunvalación (E-18) works.
  • ATU reports construction progress of 92.55% at Nicolás Ayllón station (E-17) and 94.01% at Circunvalación station (E-18).
  • More than 27 km of tunnels have been built out of the 35 km for Line 2 and the Line 4 branch, leaving about 7.4 km as underground civil, architectural and electromechanical works continue.
