ATU Launches Metropolitano Beach Feeder to Agua Dulce on Jan. 1

A seasonal integrated-fare route with supervised stops aims to ease summer access to the shoreline.

Overview

  • The service will run exceptionally on Jan. 1–2 and then operate on Saturdays and Sundays throughout the summer season.
  • Buses depart from Matellini terminal’s embarkation No. 16 and travel along Avenida Huaylas directly to Agua Dulce in Chorrillos.
  • Travel uses a single integrated fare of S/3.50, with a student half-fare of S/1.75, payable with Metropolitano or Lima Pass cards.
  • Passengers can transfer to the feeder within a two-hour window without an additional charge, and each rider must use their own card for the benefit.
  • Reported schedules differ slightly: one outlet cites 10:00 a.m.–7:30 p.m. service, while others list 10:00 a.m.–6:30 p.m. outbound and 10:30 a.m.–7:00 p.m. return; ATU will install exclusive stops and supervise traffic, and it will consider extending the route after last summer’s 27,000-plus riders.
