ATU Extends Lima’s Corredor Azul Service to Midnight Starting Oct. 6

The transport authority said a technical review found strong late‑night demand, prompting a midnight close on two routes without changing fares.

Overview

  • From Monday, Oct. 6, routes 301 and 305 will extend operations, with 301 running Monday to Saturday until 12 a.m. (Sundays to 11 p.m.) and 305 running Wednesday to Friday until 12 a.m. (Saturday to Tuesday to 11 p.m.).
  • ATU framed the change as a response to nighttime demand from workers and students and as a way to steer travelers away from informal transport and related safety risks.
  • The two services move more than 49,000 passengers daily and link key districts including Rímac, Cercado, San Isidro, Miraflores and Barranco.
  • Fares remain S/2.40 for adults and S/1.20 for half fares, with payment accepted via Metropolitano or Lima Pass cards.
  • Perú21 carried a statement attributed to Martín Ojeda about an 'engine shutdown' action, a claim not corroborated by ATU or other outlets covering the service extension.
