Vayntrub has been the target of online harassment since she started reappearing in AT&T's ads in 2020, with social media users making lewd comments about her body.
AT&T condemned the harassment and responded to offensive comments on social media, stating that they do not condone sexual harassment of employees in the workplace or on their social channels.
Vayntrub also directs the AT&T commercials she stars in and addressed viewers' speculation that she was purposely hiding her body due to the unwelcome comments she received about her body.
Despite the harassment, Vayntrub stated that the benefits of playing Lily for AT&T outweighed the toxic downside, answering 'One hundred percent' when asked if the benefits of lending her likeness to AT&T were enough to outweigh the drawbacks.
