AT&T Data Breach Settlement Claims Due Dec. 18 as $177 Million Deal Nears Final Court Review

The proposal resolves two 2024 data incidents with tiered and documented-loss payments for affected AT&T customers.

Overview

  • The settlement totals $177 million split into two funds: $149 million for the first breach and $28 million for the later call and text log incident.
  • Eligible claimants can seek up to $5,000 for the first breach, up to $2,500 for the second, or up to $7,500 if impacted by both, with higher amounts requiring documented, fairly traceable losses.
  • Claims may be filed online at TelecomDataSettlement.com or by mailing forms to AT&T Data Incident Settlement, c/o Kroll Settlement Administration LLC, P.O. Box 5324, New York, NY 10150-5324.
  • Kroll began notifying eligible current and former customers on Aug. 4, and the opt-out and objection deadline passed on Nov. 17.
  • A final approval hearing is set for Jan. 15, 2026, with payments expected afterward in 2026 pending court approval, claim validation, and any appeals.
