Chris Wilson, a star of the Netflix show 'Outback Wrangler', died in a helicopter crash in February 2022 while collecting crocodile eggs in Australia's Northern Territory.
The Australian Transport Safety Bureau (ATSB) reported that the helicopter ran out of fuel mid-flight, causing it to crash.
The pilot, Sebastian Robinson, had taken cocaine in the days leading up to the flight, which the ATSB suggests could have increased the likelihood of fatigue, depression and inattention.
Three people, including Matt Wright, the owner of the helicopter company and star of the Netflix shows 'Wild Croc Territory' and 'Outback Wrangler', face charges relating to the crash.
The ATSB found that the operator was not using a proper safety management system to identify and manage operational hazards.
