Overview
- Atmos members can begin selecting one of three earning pathways on Oct. 1 and that selection will apply to flights taken on or after Jan. 1, 2027, with members allowed one change per calendar year and set defaults for existing and new accounts.
- The three options are distance (1 point and status point per mile), price (5 points and status points per $1 spent on flights and paid upgrades), and segments (500 points and status points per flight segment), and the choice governs both redemption points and status points earned when flying.
- Points and status points awarded through credit-card spending remain governed by card rules and are not changed by a member’s accrual selection.
- Atmos will expand Communities on Oct. 1 with four new groups that offer targeted benefits for families, active travelers and food-focused trips, and it will roll out a Premium Class companion and child benefit for Platinum and Titanium members starting Nov. 2.
- The program is also widening its financial footprint with a planned Atmos debit card available for pre-registration and an updated business Visa coming late 2026, moves that position Atmos as a broader travel platform and could change how members earn and hold rewards.
