Atlas Air Assigns New 777 Freighters to Etihad Cargo, DSV for Key Trade Lanes

The long-term deals give each partner dedicated widebody lift for priority routes.

  • Atlas Air will operate two newly delivered Boeing 777-200 Freighters, placing one with Etihad Cargo and one with logistics provider DSV.
  • The Etihad-dedicated aircraft is slated to connect Abu Dhabi and Madrid, with trade press reporting an initial Hong KongAbu DhabiMadrid rotation.
  • The DSV-assigned 777F will run on the Huntsville, Alabama–Luxembourg corridor to support the forwarder’s transatlantic network.
  • Etihad and Atlas describe the arrangement as a long-term capacity solution to scale cargo operations alongside passenger fleet growth and serve high-demand sectors such as e-commerce, pharmaceuticals and perishables.
  • Cirium data shows Atlas has received four 777Fs since August last year and now flies an all-Boeing fleet of 82 aircraft, including 11 777s.
