Atlanta History Center to Unveil Hank Aaron Exhibit on 50th Anniversary of Record Home Run
The exhibit, celebrating Aaron's life and legendary baseball career, opens as his home run records continue to stand tall in the sport's history.
- The Atlanta History Center will honor Hank Aaron with a 2,500 square-foot exhibit called 'More Than Brave: The Life of Henry Aaron,' opening to the public on April 8, the 50th anniversary of Aaron's record-breaking 715th home run.
- Billye Aaron, Hank's widow, will inaugurate the exhibit, which features items from Aaron's life and career, collected from the Braves, the Aaron family, and national museums.
- Hank Aaron, who passed away in 2021, is celebrated for his monumental achievements in baseball, including surpassing Babe Ruth's home run record and enduring racial challenges.
- Aaron's records, including 755 home runs, remain largely unchallenged, with Barry Bonds being the only player to have surpassed him in the baseball history books.
- The exhibit coincides with Atlanta hosting the 2025 MLB All-Star Game, offering a unique opportunity to celebrate Aaron's legacy.
