Injury occurred during G-League practice with the College Park Skyhawks; 15th pick Bufkin had played in two of the first five games of the season.

  • Atlanta Hawks rookie guard Kobe Bufkin will be out of action for at least two weeks due to a fractured left thumb.
  • The injury occurred while Bufkin was practicing with the Hawks' G-League affiliate, the College Park Skyhawks.
  • Bufkin was the 15th pick in the NBA draft and has so far played in two of Atlanta’s first five games, scoring his first career point on a free throw.
  • During the first five games, Bufkin was used sparingly, coming in during mop-up time and missing all three of his shots from the field.
  • Bufkin's injury status will be re-evaluated in two weeks, at which point the Hawks will give an update.
