Bryan De La Cruz signed a one-year, non-guaranteed contract with the Atlanta Braves for the 2025 season.
The outfielder was non-tendered by the Pittsburgh Pirates in November after a difficult stint with the team, where he hit just .200 with three home runs in 44 games.
Earlier in 2024, De La Cruz displayed more promise with the Miami Marlins, hitting .245 with 18 home runs and 51 RBIs in 105 games.
While his career batting average stands at .253, De La Cruz has been inconsistent, with strengths in power hitting but struggles with plate discipline and defensive metrics.
