Ather Unveils EL Scooter Platform, AtherStack 7.0 and 6 kW Fast Charger

A production model based on EL is slated to roll out from Aurangabad’s Factory 3.0 around the next festive season.

Overview

  • Built on 26 lakh km of field data, the EL architecture introduces a new chassis, powertrain and electronics that enable 15% faster assembly, up to 2x quicker servicing and 10,000 km service intervals.
  • Ather showcased the EL01 concept as a preview of EL-based scooters, confirmed manufacturing at the upcoming Factory 3.0 in Aurangabad, and said current 450 and Rizta lines continue.
  • AtherStack 7.0 adds voice interaction via an LLM tuned for Indian dialects, proactive pothole and crash alerts, ParkSafe and LockSafe, plus remote charging and shutdown, with OTA rollout to Rizta Z and 450X Gen 3 and newer models.
  • The new 6 kW fast charger is half the size of the current unit yet can add about 30 km in 10 minutes on select variants, with select sites gaining built-in tyre inflators and LECCS interoperability with partners such as Hero Vida, Matter, Bolt, Kazam and EVamp.
  • Infinite Cruise debuts on the 2025 Ather 450 Apex with CityCruise, Hill Control and Crawl Control, while Rizta Z owners get an OTA that unlocks the touchscreen, a refreshed UI and a new Eco Mode.
