ATF Adds $20,000 in Stockton Birthday-Party Shooting Reward, Total Now $100,000

Investigators urge residents to share photos, videos or tips given scarce witness cooperation.

Overview

  • The new ATF offer joins $50,000 from the FBI, $25,000 from Stockton Crime Stoppers and $5,000 from a nonprofit to bring the total reward to $100,000.
  • The San Joaquin County Sheriff's Office leads a joint investigation with the FBI, ATF, Stockton and Manteca police and the California Department of Justice, and no arrests or suspect descriptions have been released.
  • Authorities say the Nov. 29 attack at the Monkey Space banquet hall during a 2-year-old's birthday party was targeted and may have involved multiple shooters, with gunfire inside and outside.
  • Four people were killed — Journey Rose Reotutar Guerrero, 8; Maya Lupian, 8; Amari Peterson, 14; and Susano Archuleta, 21 — and 13 others were wounded.
  • Officials are asking the public to submit any videos, photos or tips to law enforcement or Crime Stoppers, noting the option to remain anonymous and concerns about limited witness cooperation.
