Overview

• ATE will mobilize at the Congress on Wednesday, August 20 at 12 p.m. to press deputies to reject presidential vetoes on the pension moratorium, pension increases and the Disability Emergency law.
• The national strike will take place on the date the Senate convenes to consider the decrees, and ATE said it will set a firm date if the call does not occur this week.
• The Chamber of Deputies scheduled a session for Wednesday, August 20 at noon to attempt to overturn recent vetoes, with backing from four opposition blocs.
• ATE targets decrees including DNU 462/25 affecting INTI and INTA, DNU 351/25 on the Genetic Data Bank’s autonomy and DNU 461/25 dissolving Vialidad, which deputies have already rejected in an initial vote.
• A federal court in San Martín on July 29 granted an ATE amparo and ordered the government to suspend the INTI adjustment mandated by DNU 462/25.
