Overview
- PFL Europe confirmed on Friday that Boris Mbarga Atangana will face Bryan Battle at LDLC Arena in Lyon on December 19 as part of the PFL Lyon card.
- Atangana, 27, enters 9-0 with all nine wins by stoppage and is 4-0 in PFL competition, including a 65-second knockout of UFC veteran Jared Gooden in May.
- Battle carries a 13-3 record and is a Season 29 The Ultimate Fighter winner who compiled a strong UFC run before moving to PFL.
- In PFL, Battle lost his debut to Johnny Eblen and then won a split decision over Dalton Rosta, so this will be his third appearance with a chance to build momentum.
- Promoters frame the matchup as a stylistic test that highlights Atangana’s pure finishing power against Battle’s pressure and experience and as part of PFL’s push to grow regular events in Europe.
