Overview
- Authorities reported at least five fatalities across the erstwhile Warangal region from wall collapses, drowning and people being swept away during overnight downpours linked to Cyclone Montha.
- Police said college student Bakka Sravya remains missing after floodwaters swept a motorcycle near Thimmampet in Station Ghanpur; rider Barigala Siva Kumar survived by clinging to a tree branch.
- Passengers from TSRTC buses stranded by floodwaters were evacuated at Raghunathpalli on the Warangal–Hyderabad highway overnight and at Upparapalli in Wardhannapet on Thursday morning.
- In separate incidents confirmed earlier in Warangal, Appani Nagendram died after falling into a flood-diversion channel and G. Suramma, 60, was killed when a wall collapsed at Kondaparthy village.
