- A 17-year-old was shot around 3:30 a.m. in the 700 block of South Wells Street while seated in a car and was hospitalized in good condition at Northwestern Memorial.
- Police said the Loop shooter fled and described the suspect as a Black or dark‑skinned Hispanic man about 5-foot-4 with short hair, wearing a gray sweater and maroon T-shirt.
- In South Shore around 10 a.m. Sunday, a vehicle pulled up and multiple people opened fire, critically injuring a 16-year-old boy and wounding a 34-year-old woman, who was listed in fair condition.
- Friday night, a South Loop business employee fatally shot a 31-year-old man during a struggle and was taken into custody as a gun was recovered, while separate fatal shootings were reported in Lawndale, Princeton Park, and near the CTA Orange Line 35th/Archer station.
