Asus Raises Prices on RTX 5090 and RX 9070 GPUs, Exceeding MSRP by Significant Margins

Asus has implemented substantial price hikes on Nvidia and AMD graphics cards, with some models now costing nearly double their original MSRPs.

Asus has increased the price of its GeForce RTX 5090 Astral OC model by $280, now selling for $3,359, far above Nvidia's MSRP of $1,999.
The TUF OC variant of the RTX 5090 is priced at $3,000, while the non-overclocked version costs $2,759, both significantly exceeding their MSRPs.
AMD's RX 9070 XT Prime OC model now costs $719, up from its $599 MSRP, with Asus' other RX 9070 XT models reaching as high as $800.
The base RX 9070 starts at $659, which is $110 above its $549 MSRP, with higher-end models priced at $710.
AMD has stated that restocking the RX 9070 series at consumer-friendly prices is a top priority, offering some hope for gamers facing ongoing affordability challenges.
