Asus Introduces VU Air Ionizer Monitors with Built-In Air Purification

The new lineup features three models with air-cleaning ionizers, 100Hz refresh rates, and eye care technologies, starting at $129.

Asus launched the VU Air Ionizer series monitors, available in 23.8-inch, 27-inch, and 34-inch models, featuring built-in air ionizers that claim to reduce 90% of airborne dust and pollutants within a cubic meter in three hours.
The monitors are priced at $129 for the 23.8-inch model, $159 for the 27-inch model, and $359 for the 34-inch ultrawide model, now available through Asus's website and select retailers in the US.
All models feature 100Hz refresh rates, Adaptive Sync support, and 1ms Moving Picture Response Time (MPRT), with the 34-inch model offering a WQHD resolution and a 21:9 ultrawide aspect ratio.
Eye Care Plus technologies, including TUV Rheinland-certified Low Blue Light, Flicker-Free features, and Color Vision Deficiency modes, are integrated to reduce eye strain and improve usability.
The monitors emphasize sustainability with eco-friendly packaging that can be repurposed, though the effectiveness of the air ionization technology remains a debated topic in the industry.
