Overview
- The ASUS Googlebook 14 is available in Canadian stores with a starting price of $1,799 CAD for the Core Ultra 5 325 model and $1,899 CAD for the Core Ultra 7 355 configuration.
- Both configurations ship with 16GB of LPDDR5X memory, a 512GB PCIe 4.0 SSD, a 14-inch 3K 120Hz OLED touchscreen, a 70Wh battery, and a CNC-machined magnesium‑aluminum chassis that weighs about 0.99 kg.
- Google’s Gemini Intelligence is built into Googlebook OS and supplies features such as Magic Pointer for on-screen interaction, Rambler for spoken-note capture and summaries, and Create My Widget for natural-language widgets.
- Eligible buyers get a 12-month Google AI Pro subscription with 5TB storage plus trials of YouTube Premium, Adobe Premiere, CapCut Pro, Luminar, and GeForce NOW, and the laptop includes Thunderbolt 4, USB-A, HDMI 2.1b, a headphone jack, and Wi‑Fi 7.
- Wider questions remain about sustained battery life, how well Android apps scale on larger screens, regional price consistency, and whether real-world performance matches Google’s premium positioning as reviewers and buyers test the devices.
