  • In his latest rehab appearance for Triple-A Sugar Land, McCullers Jr. allowed one run over five innings with five strikeouts and threw 80 pitches.
  • Dana Brown confirmed the club will base McCullers’s next step on his performance in this outing.
  • Since returning from 2023 flexor-tendon surgery, McCullers has struggled in 11 MLB starts, posting a 6.90 ERA and 1.74 WHIP.
  • His comeback has been interrupted this season by a right-foot strain in June and a hand blister in late July.
