Astros star Altuve resumes rehab for injured thumb, return date still unclear

Jose Altuve resumed some baseball activities this week as he recovers from right thumb surgery.
Altuve fractured his thumb in the World Baseball Classic in March and had surgery to repair the injury.
Altuve has not yet been cleared to swing a bat as part of his rehab program.
The next two weeks of Altuve's rehab are critical in determining when he may be able to return to the Astros lineup.
Rookie Mauricio Dubón has filled in at second base during Altuve's absence.
