Astros Pledge $2.5 Million to Rebuild Flood-Ravaged Ingram Little League Ballpark by Spring 2026

The club will lead construction with MLB, the Rangers plus local foundations to deliver a new multi‑field home for Kerr County youth.

Overview

  • The commitment was unveiled Sept. 20 during Central Texas Strong Day at Daikin Park, where more than 1,000 flood‑impacted Kerr County residents attended as special guests.
  • Plans call for three playing fields, two practice fields, batting cages and other upgrades, with the Astros assuming responsibility to rebuild and maintain the complex.
  • Supporting partners include Major League Baseball, the Texas Rangers, other MLB teams, the Community Foundation of Texas Hill Country and Texas‑based baseball programs.
  • Astros owner Jim Crane said the organization will lead the renovations and have the facility ready for the start of the 2026 spring season.
  • The July 4 Hill Country floods destroyed Ingram’s fields and caused at least 135 deaths in Central Texas, highlighting the ballpark’s role for roughly 200 local youth each year.
