Astronomy Photographer of the Year 2024 Shortlist Unveiled

Stunning images from around the world capture the beauty and mystery of the cosmos

Over 3,500 entries from 58 countries were submitted to the competition.
Highlights include a dragon-shaped aurora, a total solar eclipse, and the Milky Way over the Namib Desert.
The contest features nine categories, with winners to be announced on September 12.
Winning images will be exhibited at the National Maritime Museum in London starting September 14.
The grand prize winner will receive £10,000 ($12,750).
