Astro Bot and Black Myth: Wukong Dominate 2025 Game Developers Choice Awards Nominations

The two titles lead the pack with seven nominations each, including Game of the Year, as the awards celebrate their 25th anniversary.

The Game Developers Choice Awards (GDCA) unveiled its 2025 nominees, with Astro Bot and Black Myth: Wukong leading the field with seven nominations each.
The awards, voted on by industry developers, highlight games released in 2024 across nine categories, including Game of the Year, Best Design, and Innovation Award.
Astro Bot, a 3D platformer by Team ASOBI, and Black Myth: Wukong, an action RPG inspired by Chinese mythology, are both nominated for Game of the Year alongside Balatro, Helldivers 2, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, and Metaphor: ReFantazio.
Animal Well, a Metroidvania game by solo developer Billy Basso, received five nominations, including Best Debut and Best Visual Art.
The awards ceremony will take place on March 19, 2025, during the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco, with an Audience Award also open for public voting.
